The dried fruit of the cilantro plant (and a close relative of parsley), coriander has a citrus-y, mint-y scent and flavor that uplifts everything from stewed vegetables to chutneys. Called dhania powder in Hindi, the tawny ground spice can be paired with other warming spices such as cumin, or fresh greenery like cilantro.
